Because of the abundant supply of fertile volcanic soil, the surrounding area is lush and verdant as a result of Mount Kerinci's previous eruptions.

This Anaerobic Natural lot coffee is floated, split by density, and any broken or underripe cherries are removed before it is put on raised beds. After being harvested once more, ripe cherries are sealed in airtight plastic bags and stored in a dry, cool environment. The beds are housed in domes that shield the coffee from direct sunshine and precipitation. Here, the parchment will dry. The coffee is manually ground and graded once it has dried.
